FORMER RESIDENT IS BROUGHT TO MEDINA FOR BURIAL. Mrs. Gertrude Irene Crowder Ellison passed away in a San Antonio hospital November 17, 1963, following a five weeks illness. Mrs. Ellison, beloved mother, was brought to Bandera for funeral services Monday morning in Plummer Funeral Home at 10 o'clock. Rev. Travis McNair, pastor of the Bandera Methodist Church officiated and interment was made in the Medina cemetery under the direction of Plummer Funeral Home. Casket carriers were Ernest Justice, Durward Mayfield, Allen Keese, Dennie Mayfield and Vernon Williams.
Mrs. Ellison will be remembered most kindly at Medina, as she resided there for a number of years.
She was born on June 21, 1905 and was 58 years of age at the time of her death. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Cooper, and a member of the Methodist Church. She married Eldred Ellison in 1941.
Survivors are one son, Marion Crowder of Athens, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. Jeanine Hubbard of California; one brother, Jesse L. Cooper of Kansas; one sister Mrs. Dollie Jordan of Leighton, Utah.
