B-2
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Norton Mortuary for Ollie L. McNutt, 65, who died Sunday in a Turlock hospital after a long illness. Burial will be in Turlock Memorial Park.
A Native of Portoles, New Mexico, he had lived in the Mt. View - Crows Landing area since 1940. He was a farmer and was active in the Mt. View community activities, including the volunteer fire department, Mt. View Grange and Little League. He helped build the fire station, Grange Hall and baseball park.
He leaves his wife, Ruby; three sons, William McNutt of Ceres, Dan McNutt of Crows Landing and Oliver "Corky" McNutt of Turlock; two daughters, Maude McNutt of Tulare and Alice Alvord of Hilmar; six brothers; five sisters, including Lorene Page of Ceres; and nine grandchildren.
=================================
There are some inaccuracies in the Obituary details:
1) Ollie had one daughter; not two. Her name is Janice Alvord, rather than Alice.
2) The second person listed as a daughter, "Maud" was actually his step-mother.
**Both errors were corrected in the January 16, 1980 The Modesto Bee, C-2 (picture attached)
