From 1926 through 1932 Delle Miller was head of the Art Department and the yearbook advisor at Paseo High School, Kansas City, Missouri. The school is now the Paseo Academy of Fine Arts.

An excellent artist herself, Delle worked in oils as did her first cousin (also named Adele Miller [Carmichael]). Their fathers were brothers. In July 1921 the two families motored from Missouri and Connecticut to Rockport, Gloucester, Essex, Massachusetts, for a family reunion.

They used the AAA Bluebook, no traffic lights or signs. "Pass a horse-trough on your right, take the next left." The two painters had a grand time.

Delle was responsible for organizing the school's outstanding art collection, one of the best in the country at the time according to school records.

On 19 January 1922 in Kansas City, Missouri, Delle was awarded the Kansas City Art Institute Prize for three paintings at the 1922 Exhibition. It was a body of work by the artists, sculptors, designers, musicians and writers of Missouri and Kansas.
