Mrs Austin [Linnie] Hanks died early Saturday morning in her home in the Starrh's Ferry community. She was 67 years old.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Starrh LDS chapel. Friends may call Sunday afternoon and evening at the Payne mortuary and at the family home Monday from noon until 2 p.m.
Friends may call at the Clearfield, Utah, mortuary from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in the Syracuse cemetery at Syracuse, Utah.
Mr and Mrs Hanks had just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on December 25.
She was born April 3, 1889 at Bountiful, Utah, the daughter of William and Sara Morgan Cooper. She married Mr Hanks at Syracuse, Utah, Dec 25, 1906.
Their marriage was solemnized at the Salt Lake LDS temple December 1, 1909.
After making their home in Clearfield for two years, the family moved to Burley in 1918, and they have since lived here.
She was an active member of the LDS church. She taught primary and Sunday school and served as president and teacher in the relief society.
She was a member of the Mary Salome chapter of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
Survivors in addition to her husband are: sons, Willis C, Boise, and Edison A, Lloyd E, Thead J, Lawrence W, Phillip B and M Darrel, all of Burley; daughters, Mrs William (Maurine) Stiens, Mrs Jay (Lorraine) Garrett, both of Burley and Mrs Spencer (Eleanor) Toone, Carey.
Brothers Eli J Cooper, Ogden, Utah; and John Cooper, Moreland and a sister, Mrs Eleanor Savage, Salt Lake City.
