Sgt. Chisolm was originally from Dumbarton, Scotland. He immigrated to the United States and settled in Lindenhurst, New York. He entered the Marine Corps and was killed in action in Quang Tri Province, Vietnam on September 10, 1967. Many years ago along with my mother who was from Dumbarton, I was visiting Dumbarton Cemetery, and I came across Sgt. Chisolms military headstone, and it was only proper that his memory and sacrifice be profiled on this site.
He gave his life in combat, and he was a proud son of Dumbarton, Scotland. Sgt. Chisolm's service to the United States will never be forgotten. The United States Marine Corps was lucky to have him among their ranks. Alexander
