Isabella was the daughter of William Elliot & Mary Majors. She was living in Kenton County at the time of her marriage to William Henry Culbertson on 16 September 1841. In 1857 William and Isabella were living near Fiskburg in Kenton County. William was wounded in the Civil War (1862)and ultimately died of those wounds. In 1870 Isabella was living with her sons in Morning View, Kenton County. 1 Oct 1877 she married her second husband (Richard Hightower) in Kenton County, Kentucky. By 1880 she was a widow again and living with William & George (her sons). In 1900 she was living with her son William in Stephenson District of Kenton County.
