Evelyn Berniece Ingold, 76 of LaPlata, died Sunday, September 23, 1990 at the University of Missouri Medical Center in Columbia.
Born July 4, 1914 in Luray, she was the daughter of Clarence Hiram and Anna Susan Kelly Benda. On April 23, 1932 in Clark County, she married Merrill Virgil Ingold who preceded her in death on February 24, 1968.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Ila Jane Smith; one grandson, Owen Jones and one great granddaughter.
She is survived by one son, Merrill Virgil Ingold, Jr. Tampa, Florida; five daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Reva) Graham of LaPlata, Mrs. Louis Bevans Phillips of Williamstown, Mrs. Bob (Evelyn) Glasgow of Edina, Mrs. Theo (Claris) Jones of Atlanta, and Mrs. Anita Love of Grandview; three brothers, Eston Benda of Atlanta, Roy Benda of Cedar Falls, Iowa and Glen Benda of Memphis; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and six step great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Ingold was reared in Clark County where she was a graduate of the Luray High School. In 1950 she moved to LaPlata where she was employed by the C&R Grocery Store and later by the LaPlata Nursing Home. She was a member of the LaPlata Christian Church.
Services were held on Thursday, September 27, 1990 in Travis Funeral Chapel, LaPlata. The Rev. Stan East, of LaPlata conducted the services. Music was provided by Shirley Matticks, organist and the Rev. Bob Welsh, soloist. Burial was held in the Combs Cemetery in Luray.
Pallbearers were her grandsons.
