LOIS SMITH
Mrs. Albert (Lois) Smith, Sr, 88, died Friday Nov. 19, 1982 in St. Anne's Hospice where she had resided since 1973.
Lois was born in Leroy on Nov. 29th, 1893 to Frank and Jessie Wells Butler. She married Albert W. Smith, Sr. in Austin on March 6, 1918.
She was a theatre pianist in Mankato, Austin, and Winona until the advent of sound movies. She also played at many Winona social gatherings. She was a 50 year member of St. Mary's Catholic Church where she was very active its many societies and circles. She had served on the St. Anne's Hospice Auxillary Board, was an avid golfer.
Survivors include her husband, one son Albert W. Smith, Jr., son-in-law Raymond Haun of Winona, seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two sisters Mrs Otto (Marie) Fletcher and Mrs. Beryl Costello both of St. Paul, MN.
Her parents, a daughter Betty Haun, one grandson, and two brothers have predeceased her.
Funeral services will be at 11:30am on Monday at St. Anne's Hospice with burial in St. Mary's cemetery.
