Brewer Monroe Wright, 91, of McKinney, a loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away July 29, 2010, at his home.

He was born May 30, 1919, in Vernon to William Brewer and Gertrude (Box) Wright.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a veteran of World War II.

On Dec. 14, 1974, he married Sara Grier Bradford in Richardson.

Mr. Wright was a 32nd Degree Mason.

He was a manager of the Hunt and Trail Drive-In Theaters in Greenville and was also a farmer and a car salesman in Dallas.

Mr. Wright is survived by his wife, Sara Wright of McKinney; children Mary Patricia Oldham of Pittsburgh, Texas, Glenda Frazier of Pottsboro, Gary Wright of Mechanicsburg, Pa., and Laura Hooper of McKinney; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Frances Beazley Wright.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Aug. 2, 2010, at Brigham Cemetery in Campbell with Pastor Joseph Whitner officiating.

The family will receive friends for a visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
