Daniel Bittner, of this city, died at the residence of his son-in-law, W. F. Satterlee, on Main street, Thursday night at ten minutes of six o’clock, aged 82 years, 7 months and 1 day. He was born in Dauphin county. In 1831 he was married to Miss Eliza Rowe, of Lewistown, and came to Lock Haven in 1840, thus being one of our oldest residents. He was a member of the M. E. church for 62 years. He has left a wife and five children, the latter being as follow: Mrs. W. J. Westbrock, Mrs. W. F. Satterlee, of this city; Mrs. Edward Williams of Wilkes-Barre; Dr. William Bittner and S. L. Bittner, of Altoona. Being a member of the Masonic Order, the services at the grave were under the auspices of that Order. Funeral Saturday afternoon at 3 o’clock. Services at house by Rev. Bender. Interment in Highland cemetery.
