DICKEY, DORIS THELMA - Of Hanover, Michigan passed away Thursday, February 12, 2009 at Spring Arbor Assisted Living in Spring Arbor, Michigan. She was born February 6, 1915 in North Branch, Michigan the daughter of Edwin and Mary Jane (Valentine) Dodds. She is survived by her husband, of 63 years, Everett William Dickey whom she married on September 28, 1945. She is also survived by two children, David (Laura) Dickey of Camden, MI and Marilyn (Den) Karrow of Chicago, IL; three grandchildren, Angela (CW) Kennedy, Amy (Robert) Hinderer and Janelle Karrow; three great-grandchildren, Joy and Makenzie Kennedy and Alyssa Hinderer and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Alan Dickey and 11 brothers and sisters. Mrs. Dickey was a member of Gold Star Mother and she was also a member of Hanover Baptist Church. A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Doris Thelma Dickey will be held at the Hanover Baptist Church, 140 W. Allen in Hanover on Monday, February 16, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Robert Shevy and Pastor Den Karrow officiating. Interment will take place in the Horton Cemetery.
