Elsinore, Utah - Our kind and beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Shirley Forsyth Coleman Anderson, age 79, of Elsinore, died suddenly and very unexpectedly on Friday, July 30, 2010 in Richfield, Utah of a massive heart attack. She was born September 24, 1930 in Teasdale, Utah, a daughter of John Franklin and Marzella Potter Forsyth. She graduated from Wayne High School, Class of 1948.

She married John Kell Coleman, August 12, 1948 in Teasdale, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Los Angles LDS Temple, April 16, 1958. Kell died December 8, 1995. Shirley then married George Milan Anderson, December 1, 1998 in the Mt. Timpanogos LDS Temple.

Shirley was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in all the auxiliaries, especially in the Primary, Relief Society and Young Women's Program. Recently, she and George had an assignment at the Manti Temple as Special Temple Workers, which she really enjoyed doing.

Shirley loved quilting, crocheting, sewing, gardening and doing yard work, and cooking. She made the best pies in the whole world. She canned everything from elk meat to deer meat, to vegetables and fruits. In her younger days, she enjoyed hunting and camping with her family.

Shirley never met a stranger and she had many, many friends. She loved to dance, to travel and enjoyed being with people. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband, George, of Elsinore; children: Sheldon Kell and Shellie Coleman of Elsinore; Jeffrey Wayne and Carla Coleman, Gregory John and Michelle Coleman, all of Teasdale; Kelley Ann Coleman of Price; step-children: Laura and Don Blanchard , Dean F. and Becky Anderson, Margaret and David Christiansen, all of Orem; Donald G. and Erlene Anderson, currently serving a mission in Atlanta, Georgia; Jane and Boyd Gourley, Douglas M. and Lorraine Anderson, all of South Jordan; James and Loralie Cuff of Las Vegas, Nevada; Camille and Randy Simonsen of St. George; Janet and Wayne Fillmore of Richfield; Joyce and Brent Cottle of Logan; 68 grandchildren; 75 great-grandchildren; sisters: Gayle and Nelson Wadsworth of Salt Lake City; Carol and Gordon Olsen of American Fork; Janiel and Jerry Friedland of Wilmette, Illinois; Evie Forsyth of Orem.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Kell Coleman; a daughter, Diane Coleman; her parents; a brother and a sister: John Devon Forsyth and Odette Martin.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 6, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. in the Torrey LDS Ward Chapel in Torrey, Utah. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Thursday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or Friday at the church in Torrey from 11:00 to 12:30 prior to the services.

Burial will be in the Teasdale Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
