Peggy Clay Dawson, age 72 of Live Oak, passed away on July 30, 2010 in Live Oak. She is survived by her husband, Lynn Dawson; daughter, Jill Christian and husband, Mark; grandchildren Cody & Kaitlyn; one brother and 3 sisters. Visitation will be held at 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at the Schertz Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: American Cancer Society, 8115 Datapoint Drive, San Antonio, TX, 78229.

PEGGY DAWSON
Peggy Clay Dawson, 72, of Live Oak, Texas passed away on July 30, 2010 in Live Oak. She is survived by her husband, Lynn Dawson; her daughter, Jill Christian and husband, Mark; her grandchildren, Cody and Kaitlyn; one brother and three sisters.
Peggy worked for the City of Live Oak for 18 years.
Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Aug. 3 at Schertz Funeral Home.
Funeral Services were held at 2 p.m. on Aug. 4 at the Schertz Funeral Chapel. Officiating was Reverend Ava Nell Burdine Berry. Internment was at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society.
Family attending were sisters, Addierene Mickels, Santa Maria, Calif., Mildred Langley, Wellington, Texas and Ava and husband Delbert White, Quail, Texas; one brother, Alvey Clay, Hedley, Texas; and nieces, Sheri White Van Bakel, Amarillo, Texas and Randi Eve French Rice, Lake Forest, Calif.
Peggy started to school at Quail and graduated with the Class of 1956. Classmates of hers there were Ben Ray Ratliff of Fentress, Texas, Bobby Langford of Fentress, Texas, Patsy White Riggins of Friona, Texas, Dean Maxwell of Iowa Park, Texas, Joan Lacy Deliale, Michelle and Brett of Dallas, Texas; cousins Rob and Ava Nell Berry of Lubbock and many local friends.
