Joseph Sim had issue only from his 1st marriage to Catherine Murdock. Joseph was a Colonel in the 11th battalion during the Rev War and one of the Annapolis Assemblymen who denounced the British for closing Boston harbor in 1774, a Delegate for the Maryland Convention in 1775, on the 1st Privy Council of the State of Maryland in 1777 and a member of the General Assembly in 1780. He died November 27, 1793 in Frederick County, Maryland. His burial location is unknown, but most likely in Frederick County next to his home.
