Hirum M. Taylor died at his home of pneumonia.
He was born in Santaquin, Utah county, a son of Norman and Lydia Forbush Taylor, and spent his early boyhood days in Santaquin and Little Salt Creek, Juab county. In 1961 he moved to Moab, Grand county where he engaged in the dry goods business until 1886, when he to Fruitland N.M.
He came to Salt Lake City in 1921 and since that time had been an ardent worker in the temple. He married Amanda Evaline Burnham in the Endowment house in September, 1882. After her death he married Clarentine Marinda Burnham in the Logan temple. She died Sept 22, 1926. On Sept. 14, 1943, he married Louise Cowan in the Salt Lake Temple. She survives.
Also surviving are the following sons and daughters; Willis F. Taylor, Seattle, Wash.; Leo S. Taylor, American Fork; Mrs. Sadie Young, Safford Ariz.; Mrs. Lydia Stone, Mrs. Gladys Gudmundson and Mrs. Irma Walker, Provo; 25 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren
