Daughter of Griffith Dickenson and Rebecca Flanary Dickenson. Griffith died at his home in Jackson County, Missouri on Sept. 30, 1855 at the age of 80. No marker is known to exist. Griffith and Rebecca left Virginia around 1836, moving first to Floyd County, Kentucky and later to Jackson County, Missouri. Mary and her sister Elizabeth Dickenson Newberry were already married and stayed behind in Virginia. These two daughters have been left off of many listings of Dickenson descendants.
