Andrew's parents were Johannes Martin Beyerle (b.1680, d.1735) and Anna Sara Gemelin (b.1684, d.1723).

Johannes, "Andrew", came to America (Philadelphia) in 1738 from Germany aboard the ship "Charming Nancy". He was also known as Johannes Andreas Byerly. He was a baker, Indian scout and military express rider.

He was a Hero of an Indian Battle at Bushy Run in Aug 1763. He also served with George Washington at Braddocks defeat in 1755 in Philadelphia, PA.

He lived in Westmoreland Co., PA and was the father of 10 children. 1st Marriage (1743) - Anna Catherine (?)  - No children. 2nd Marriage (1747) - Beatrice Kuhl  - 5 Children. 3rd Marriage (1758) - Phoebe Beatrice Guldin - 5 Children. 

Burial Note: Original burial records just say he was buried in Simpson, Lackawanna Co., PA. A search in 2013 for his tombstone in the "Strasburg Cemetery" and the "Holy Trinity Cemetery" could not find anything that suggests he was buried in there.

Death Note: Broderbund's WFT Vol. 4, Ed. 1, Tree # 2466 has his birth as About June 26, 1713 in Germany and death as About 1785 in Lancaster, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
