J.H. Fullerton, 95, Rites Were Sunday In Baptist Church
Services for J.H. Fullerton, 95, were 2 p.m. Sunday in the First Baptist church with Rev. W.F. Crow, Carnegie, and Rev. Herman Powell, Alfalfa, officiating. Burial was in the Alfalfa cemetery.
Mr. Fullerton died Thursday afternoon in Carnegie hospital. He had been in ill health several years.
Born June 12, 1858, in Sarcoxie, Mo., he came to Oklahoma territory in 1901, and farmed south of Colony. He moved 10 miles north of Carnegie in 1902 and farmed until 1914, when he moved back to Missouri.
He returned to Oklahoma in 1922 and settled near Port. He farmed there until 1928 when he moved to a farm in the Alfalfa area. Mr. Fullerton moved to Carnegie 10 years ago.
Survivors include his wife, home address; two daughters, Mrs. Ethel Nelson, Lawton, and Mrs. Ina Pendergrass, Nacoma Park; two sons, Floyd Fullerton, Port and L.H. Fullerton, Alfalfa; also four stepdaughters, Mrs. Nell Crow, Yukon; Mrs. Ernest Tooman, northwest of Fort Cobb; Mrs. Harry Hodge, Alfalfa, and Mrs. Ruby Hayes, of California; one stepson, Albert Hadley, Houston, Texas; 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
