Funeral for Elder Decatur Gregg Staples, 94, of 116 Lawrence., St. who died Sunday morning in Moses Cone Hospital after a long period of declining health, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Forbis and Dick Memorial Chapel. Elders George W. Hill and Sam Adkinson will officiate and burial will be in Lawsonville Church cemetery near Walnut Cove. The body will remain at the funeral home until the service. He was a native of Stuart, Va., and had lived here 50 years. He was a member of Oak Forest Primitive Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Paschal of Greensboro and Mrs. Bessie Ellington of Baltimore, Md.; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
