CARL FRED JACKSON was born on January 6, 1909 in Harper, Missouri to Charles and Rosa (Stark) Jackson and passed away on June 25, 1990 at the Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Baxter, Iowa at the age of 81 years. He was a farmer in Bates County for most of his life except for a short time of 6 years (1937-1943) that he spent in Oregon and Washington. He was united in marriage to Lela Crowley on December 10, 1930 and to this union was born one child, a daughter, Theresa Jackson Stewart. He was a member of the Bethel Primitive Baptist Church in Adrian, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and 5 sisters. He is survived by his daughter and husband, Theresa and Jimmie Stewart of Newton, Iowa; his grandchildren Kevin, Jackie and Jana Stewart of Newton, Iowa; Diana and Drew Holmes of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and a great-grandson Nathan Stewart of Newton, Iowa; 3 sisters, Maudie Smith of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, Jody Hockett of Adrian, Missouri, Eula Manser of Butler, Missouri and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Friday, June 29, 1990 at 2:00 p.m. at the Atkinson Chapel, Adrian, Missouri. The Elder Phillip Jones and Elder Vance Smith officiated with interment in Adam Howell Cemetery. Amoret, Missouri. Casketbearers were Kevin Stewart, Marvin Jackson, Bob Moles, Buford Hockett, Drew Holmes, Tom Hockett.
