Nell Lee Casey, 74, of 805 S. 17th St., died Tuesday in a Temple nursing home after a short illness. Funeral will be at 3 pm Thursday in Grace Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Ed Waddill and the Rev. Garland Shell officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. She and her husband started the Casey stores in Temple in 1930 and she was a partner in Household Furniture Store until her retirement. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church, a deacon of the church and a Sunday school teacher for 50 years. She was a member of the Altrusa Club, Temple Garden Club and worthy matron of the Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors are a son, Stanley Casey of Belton; two sisters, Mrs. Hobart Cantrell of Temple and Mrs. John Roming of Fort Worth; and five grand children. Harper-Talasek Funeral home is in charge.
