NANCY LEE MILLER was the first child of Loyal Emory Miller and Elizabeth Stoneburner Miller. She was born at Readus at the home of her grandparents, Arthur and Cora Agnes Sine Stoneburner. She was a beautiful fully developed child who died due to complications in delivery. A heartbreaking day for her parents and grandparents. Her mother always remembered that day with regret knowing that Nancy was such a perfectly formed beautiful infant and somehow she blamed herself for her inexperience in giving birth, but in reality there was little to be done in such a home delivery with only a mid-wife present. In 1936, sadly there was no such thing in Shenandoah County as pre-natal care or childbirth classes.
NOTE: There is a discrepancy between the birth certificate and the death certificate. The birth certificate says born on September 11, 1936; however, the death certificate says Nancy was born on SEPTEMBER 10, 1936 WITH DEATH ON SEPTEMBER 11, 1936
