Mrs. Mary L. Wilkes, aged fifty-nine years, the widow of Capt. Perry Wilkes, died last evening at the residence of her son-in-law, Mr. T. J. Check, Jr., 2109 West Walnut Street. She had been a sufferer from a few weeks past from a complication of diseases.
Two daughters and two sons survive her. They are Mrs. J. R. Pflanz, Mrs. T. J. Check, Jr., Mr. John H. Wilkes and Mr. Charles W. Wilkes.
The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock to-morrow afternoon from Mr. Check's residence and the internment will be in Cave Hill.
