Freda Arnold Rockford ~ Freda Arnold passed away on July 12, 2010, in Park Strathmoor, after a long and brave fight with Alzheimer's disease. Born Freda Reiser on May 29, 1916, in North Dakota, she was the second child of eight born to Edward and Lydia Reiser. In October 1950, she married Marvin Arnold, in Washburn, N.D. and they had two sons. Survived by son, John Arnold (Glenda DeMack); grandsons, Doug (Kathy) Arnold and Duane (Melissa) Arnold; great-grandchildren, Schuyler, Jayden, Matthew, Jayce, Jacob and Juliana; sisters, Erma and Margry; and special friend, Roberta McBride. Predeceased by husband , Marvin; son, Stanley; parents; and five siblings. Freda will be remembered for her love of birds and for her "green thumb" for plants, as well as for being a dedicated wife and loving mother to all of her children and grandchildren. Memorial service will be held Monday, July 26, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. in Shipman Funeral Home Chapel.
