Died, at her home in Harlan, Smith county, Kansas, Feb. 3d, 1894, Mrs. Minnie Boyd, aged 28 years. Mrs. Boyd's maiden name was Minnie Olds. She was born in Oakfield, Fon du Lac county, Wisconsin, May 11th, 1865; experienced religion when about 15 years of age, and joined the Wesleyan Methodist church, and was ever an active member in every good work. Removed with her parents to Harlan, Kansas, Nov 26, 1885, and was married to O. J. Boyd April 6th, 1887. She leaves a husband and four children, the youngest a babe of four weeks; also an aged father and mother and four brothers Frank and Lincoln of Harlan, Daniel of Junction City, Wis., and Reuben of Pullman, Wash. Her last illness was very severe, but it was borne with patience. She said she was willing to suffer if it would result in good to. others. Blessed with the kindest of husbands, her home life was the most happy I ever saw, but the Lord saw fit to take her home, and she died praising God. The funeral took place Sunday afternoon at 1 o clock from the residence. The services were conducted by Rey. Williams, of the U. B. church of Harlan. The funeral was largely attended, and a long line of carnages followed the remains to their last resting place in the Gaylord cemetery, there to await the ressurrection morn. May God comfort the sorrowing relatives and help them so to live that they may all meet in Heaven.
