PLAINVILLE -- Oliver A. "Junior" Plante, 74, died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2003, at Rooks County Nursing Home. He was born Feb. 3, 1929, in Damar to Arthur O. and Vitilane (Senesac) Plante.

He married Waunita C. Dreiling on July 28, 1953, in Plainville; she died Aug. 22, 1991.

He owned and operated Jr.'s Painting, Roofing and Tree Service for many years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include two daughters, Charlotte Littrell and Deborah Jones, both of Plainville; two sons, Larry, Hays, and Terry, Plainville; two brothers, Eldorick, Kirtland, N.M., and Leroy, Pratt; four sisters, Alfreda Gibson and Berneda King, both of Fayetteville, Ark., Lida Guillaume, Phillipsburg, and Theresa Harper, Wichita; nine grandchildren; and four great-granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by a son, Nicholas.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Plainville; burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is until 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Moore-Overlease Funeral Chapel, Plainville. A Ladies Guild rosary will be at 3 p.m. Thursday and a parish vigil will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary.
