Alfreda V. Gibson formerly of West Fork passed away Monday, August 13, 2007 at
Medi - Home Nursing Facility in Prairie Grove. She was born January 21, 1924 in
Damar, KS to the late Arthur and Vitilane Senesac Plante.
She a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and a member of the Prayer Legion
of Mary. She was a homemaker and was active for several years with the Gibson
Family White Oak Baskets.
She was from a family of ten and is survived by one brother, Eldoric Plante of
Kirtland, NM; and three sisters, Lida Guillaume of Phillipsburg, KS, Bernita King, of
Fayetteville AR, and Mary Theresa Harper of Wichita, KS.
The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Beard's Chapel of
Fayetteville, with a Rosary Service at 7:00 P.M.
Mass of Christian burial will be held 11: 30 A.M., Saturday, August 18, 2007 at St.
Joseph's Catholic Church in Fayetteville, with Father Bradley Barber presiding. Burial
will be in Combs Chapel Cemetery at a later date.
