A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano for Camille Paul Cheramie, 76, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Cut Off, who died at 12:22 a.m. Sunday, April 30.Visitation will be 5 to 10 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano.Burial will be in Cheramie Cemetery.He was the husband of Aima Blanchard Cheramie; father of Camille Cheramie Jr., Betty Kiff and Mary Ann Dufrene; brother of Mavelia Boudreaux. He is also survived by six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his first wife, Alphosine Lafont Cheramie; parents, Pierre and Clorinda Guidry Cheramie; a brother, Camley Cheramie; and six sisters, Ozite Cheramie, Anesia Esponge, Leonia Williams, Ozelia Bradberry, Cesla Vizier and Clamence Terrebonne.He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.Falgout Funeral Home of Galliano is in charge of arrangements.
