Christie Dean Shaw, 85 of Ida, LA passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Ida Methodist Church in Ida, LA officiated by Rev. Jerry Means assisted by Rev. Sandy DeFatta. Burial will follow at Bethsaida Cemetery in Ida. There will be a time of visitation from 6-8 pm on Friday, December 7, 2012 at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home in Vivian, LA.
Mrs. Shaw was born April 20, 1927 in Stephens, AR and lived all of her life in Ida, LA. She was a member of the Ida Methodist Church. She loved to cook and feed her family. She was a great wife, mother and homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her brother Sid Dean Jr. She is survived by her husband Rudolph L. Shaw Sr. of Ida, her son Lamar Shaw of Ida, her grandsons; Nathan Shaw, Martin Shaw, and Thomas Shaw and his wife Chrissy all of Ida, her great grandson Jacob Shaw and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Nathan, Martin and Thomas Shaw, Ronnie and Quinn Dupree, Kenny Shaw and David Caldwell.
