Lindsey Sharp, 92, Marengo,OH, passed away Sunday July 18, 2010, at Bennington Nursing home in Marengo, OH.
The Lawrence County, OH native was born February 27, 1918 the son of the late Lindsey Sr. and Jessie Keaton Sharp.
Mr. Sharp attended Bartels Schools. He retired from Collins Coal Company in 1965 where he worked as a Coal Miner. He was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by:
1st wife: Evelyn Antis Sharp who passed away in 1979
2nd wife: Leah Daniels Sharp who passed away in 2000
3 sons: Jim, Ronnie, and Timmy Sharp
1 daughter: Mary Skaggs
2 sisters: Marie Malone, and Betty Jean Sexton
2 brothers: Burl, and Curtis Sharp
He is survived by:
3 daughters and 1 son-in-law: Doretta Molone of Marengo, OH, Gloria Gullett of Pedro, OH, and Christine and Bill Farmer of Sunbury, OH
3 sons: Roy David Sharp of Gallion, OH, Jerry Sharp of Marion, OH, and Lindsey Sharp Jr. of Marengo, OH
28 grandchildren
Funeral service will be Wednesday (July 21, 2010) 12:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 South 7th Street, Ironton, OH with Pastor Ronnie Aldridge and Brother Gene Spillman officiating.
Friends may call Wednesday from 11:00AM till time of service.
Burial will follow at Lawrence Furnace Cemetery.
