Alva Thompson was the son of Benjamin Cody and Martha "Rush" Bingham Williams. He married Trannie Belle Easterwood [1879-1961] on December 23, 1897 in Webster Co., MS. They became the parents of five children. Trannie Belle Williams is buried in Double Springs Cemetery in Webster Co., MS.
