Martha was the daughter of Lewis B. and Hannah "Bobo" Rush. In 1851, she married (1) Green B. Bingham, son of William and Elizabeth "Pounder" Bingham. Green was killed in the Civil War at the Battle of Murfreesboro, TN on 31 Dec 1862. He has a memorial marker in Double Springs Cemetery, where the family worshiped.
They were the parents of five children: Missouri Adaline (Hardy), William Alexander, Hiram Randolph, John Osborn and Sarah Elizabeth (Wright).
On 24 Nov 1870, Martha married (2) Benjamin Cody Williams, son of Thomas Almareen & Gilly "Manning" Williams. They became the parents of five children: Margie Delura, Lewis Almareen, Anderson Manning, Alva Thompson and Cornelia Velma (Hillhouse). Benjamin died 28 Nov 1889 and is buried in Double Springs Cemetery also.
