WOOD, HUBERT IVAN -- KNOX - Hubert I. Wood, 65, of Van RD 1, died at 11:10 p.m. Saturday in his home after an extended illness. He was born at Fern, Clarion County, December 8, 1899, the son of George and Ella Cotherman Wood. A life-long resident of the Knox area, Mr. Wood was employed as a deep well driller in northern Pennsylvania. He was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Church of Fern. Mr. Wood was married July 5, 1929, to Mary Johnston of Sligo, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. R. Craig (Barbara] Koedel of Upper Darby and Mrs. Gerald J. (Marilyn) Webb of Oil City; one brother, Albert Wood of Van RD 1; one sister, Mrs. Mae Stewart of Parker; and four grandchildren. Removal was made to the Roy P. Stuart Funeral Home in Knox where friends may call after 2 p.m. today. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Rev. Fred Cunningham, pastor of the Fern Trinity Evangelical Church, will officiate. Interment will be in the Phipps Cemetery at Kossuth. The Derrick, Oil City, Pa. Monday, August 9, 1965. Pg 16
