Mary Alma Wood, 91, formerly of Cranberry RD 1, died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2001, in Beverly HealthCare-Shippenville. Born Dec. 11, 1909, in Piney Township, Clarion County, she was a daughter of Steel Scott and Mary Ellen Myers Johnston. Mrs. Wood was a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Church at Fern, Ashland Township. She was married July 5, 1927, to Hubert I. Wood, who preceded her in death in 1965. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. R. Craig (Barbara) Koedel of Pittsburgh and Mrs. Gerald J. (Marilyn) Webb of Oil City; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Survivors also include two sisters, Evelyn Wensel of Sligo and Violet Kiehl of Brookville. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the William N. Rupert Mortuary in Knox. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with pastor Mark Miklas of Trinity Evangelical Church at Fern officiating. Interment will follow in Phipps Cemetery, Kossuth. 2/3/2001 Derrick.
