EDITH ANNIE CARLIN
Retired Chief Operator, Southwestern Bell Telephone
Services for Edith Annie Carlin, 86, of Lufkin, will be held at 2:30 pm Wednesday at the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Hedges and Lloyd Bowden officiating. Interment will follow in the Knight Cemetery.
Miss Carlin was born April 12, 1904 in Lufkin and died Monday at her residence. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Southwestern Bell Telephone Pioneer Club. Miss Carlin was a retired chief operator for Southwestern Bell for over 43 years and had lived in Lufkin all her life.
Survivors: sisters, Vella Yancy Garrison of Mabank and Bernice Goodman of Lufkin; nieces and nephews
Miss Carlin's nephews will serve as pallbearers.
