Alpha Bryant was the daughter of Lyman and Sarah Bryant. She came to Silver City in 1882. She married Charles Swanburg 3/23/1892. He died 10/28/1933.
They had six children: Maude (Mrs. James Bailey), Mae (Mrs. Ben Bothwell), Ray (1899-1915), Daisy (Mrs. McGarr of Sacramento, CA), Annabelle (Mrs Albert Bailey), and Katherine Swanburg Norre. All the children of this family attended Evergreen School north of town.
Mrs Alpha Bryant Swanburg married Cecil Thompson in 1942. He died in 1953.
