Funeral services were held for Mrs. Alvina Anderson at 1:30 p.m. from the Des Plaines Lauterburg and Oehler funeral chapel May 21 and from the St. John's Lutheran church at Elk Grove at 2 p.m. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Anderson, nee Poehls, was born July 13, 1901, in Norwood township, and was baptized and confirmed in the St. Paul Lutheran church of that township. In 1921 the family moved to Elk Grove and in 1924 she married Ivar Anderson.
Mrs. Anderson passed away May 18 and leaves to mourn her husband, Ivar, one daughter, Elinor Mollenkamp and two sons, Marvin, now in Austria, and Vernon of Arlington Heights, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Poehls, one son-in-law, four brothers and five sisters.
