Mr. Boggs died Monday, July 12, 2010, at a Plano, Texas, hospital. He was born Feb. 2, 1941, at East Liverpool, Ohio, to Dr. Edward Hunter Boggs and Evelyn Preest Boggs.
He grew up in Charleston, W. Va., attended the University of Kentucky and graduated from the University of Charleston. He moved to Ada in 1983 from Dallas, Texas.
Mr. Boggs was owner and operator of Tom E. Boggs Produce in Ada and a member of Roff United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, Will Boggs and his wife Christi, Ada; two daughters, Faith Livingstone of Texas, and Blaire Barringer Boggs, Ada; a brother, Jack Boggs, Ada; a sister, Janet Stout and her husband Mackie, Morehead City, N.C.; two grandchildren, Harrison Boggs and Eden Boggs, both of Ada; several nieces and nephews; and a companion, Julie Smith, Ada.
Bearers will be Sam Orr, Don Walker, Gary Jamar, John Barringer, Otis Martin and Yancy Wood. Honorary bearers will be Bob Shaw, Garland Nichols, Elzie Priest and Jack Rahm.
The family says those who wish may make memorials to the American Lung Association designated for Pulmonary Fibrosis Research, 1010 E. 8th, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74120
