Feb 24, 1922 --- Mrs Addie Fitzhugh Dead
Mrs Addie Fitzhugh, who has been afflicted for some time past with tuberculosis, died at her home, here last Saturday afternoon at 2:50 o'clock, only a few hours after she had been brought home from the state tubercular sanitarium, where she had been taking treatment for some time. Her husband returned here with her from that place Saturday.
Mrs Fitzhugh was 24 years of age and had lived in Calico Rock about nine years. She was born at Elizabeth, Fulton County, living there until moving to Calico Rock. In 1916 she married Alex Fitzhugh and to this union was born a son. Her condition became serious a little more that a year ago and has grown more serious from time to time, despite the fact that she has been taking hospital treatment.
Mrs Fitzhugh's death brought sorrow to a host of sympathizing friends here. She was a member of the Christian church and lived a faithful member till death. She bore her affliction with more than unusual fortitude, in which the hopes and prayers of the numerous friends went out to her.
Deceased is survived by her husband, a 4-year-old son, half sisters and brother and father, W. M. Case. Burial took place at Spring Creek cemetery Sunday afternoon, funeral services being conducted by Rev. D. R. Robertson of Mount Olive.
----
No gravestone has been found. There are several field stones and broken unreadable gravestones in the area where her husband Alexander Fitzhugh is buried.
