A. G. Lively, Editor Canton Herald, Dies
"A. G. Lively, 52, editor of the Canton Herald, died Friday in Dallas at the home of his sister, Mrs. E. C. Poole, 437 West Jefferson. The body will be taken to Canton, Van Zandt County, for burial, with funeral services at 10:30 o'clock Saturday morning at his home in Canton.
Mr. Lively, a Texas newspaper man for thirty‐five years, had been editor of the Canton Herald for the last ten years. Prior to that he had been in newspaper work in Lufkin [Texas] and other East Texas towns. He was a native of Canton, the son of the late Judge R. M. Lively and Mrs. Lively.
Surviving are his mother, a brother, J. C. Lively, both of Canton, and two sisters, Mrs. Poole of Dallas and Miss Ethel Lively of Canton."
