JENNIE was named for her maternal grandmother, VIRGINIA ANN "JENNIE" PERRY CONLIN.
JENNIE'S father HARRY BRAZIER was a painter and engraver who died in 1894 of heart failure at age 38, brought on by lead poisoning, a known risk factor of being a painter even at that time. Her mother ANNIE had a ladies' dress business in Vancouver, WA after the death of her first husband HARRY BRAZIER. JENNIE was subsequently raised by her stepfather, Major GEARY JOHN STUART.
JENNIE married at a young age like her mother had done. She married ARTHUR E. WILMOT when she was 12 days shy of her 14th. birthday. Both she and ARTHUR left school after the 8th. grade and went on to own their own business. ARTHUR became a successful men's clothier. They lived in the King county area near Seattle and their last home was in Maple Valley.
ARTHUR opened three Wilmot's Men's Clothing Stores, one in Renton which JENNIE helped to run, one in Olympia and another in Seattle. When their son DEAN was grown he became vice-president of the business and, with his wife EVELYN, opened a store in Port Angeles, WA.
JENNIE was fond of a hand of poker with her sisters and liked to play the ponies at Longacres racetrack. ARTHUR disapproved of the latter so JENNIE worked out a deal with the milkman by which he acted as her bookie, using the milk deliveries to send and receive her wager messages and winnings.
Their known children:
1) Jane L. WILMOT HENDERSON, b. 1915 D. 2000
2) Dean WILMOT b. 1905 d. 1975 in Port Angeles, WA.
JENNIE had four sisters:
1) Alice May RICHESON, b. 1885 d. 1960.
2) Ashley VIVIAN, b. 1887 d. 1973.
3) Myrtle REED, b. 1896. d. 1986.
