BOGATA - Ester Mae Bishop Smith, 84, of Bogata, died Sunday, April 11, 2010, in Clarksville.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, April 17, at Center Grove Cemetery with Bro. Jay Smith officiating. Interment is under direction of Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Home.

Mrs. Smith was born on April 16, 1925, in Edgemont, Ark., the daughter of Ellion W. Gentry and Maggie Lena (Cook) Gentry. She was a retired cook and a member of Sulphur River Cowboy Church.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Betty Bishop and Shorty and Teri Bishop; a daughter and son-in-law, June and Ken Sloan; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Jeanette Betts, Rose Luman, and Ruth Roswell.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jack Robert Bishop; her parents; and a brother, Walton Gentry.

No visitation has been scheduled.
