She was a member of the Texas Nursing Organization, PSI BETA National Honor Society, Rebekah Lodge #127 I.O.O.F. & a member of the Nevills Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Dave St. Claire of Gilmer; daughter, Debbye Vanginault of Searcy, AR; daughter & son-in-law, Dee & Ray Stevens of Murfreesboro, TN; daughter, Donna Nicewarner of Wynona, TX; half daughter, Rhonda DeNoux of Blanchard, LA; 20 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Minerva Gentry; sister-in-law, Lesby Elrod; brother-in-law, H. L. Lumen.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert J. Betts; grandson, Timothy St. Claire, nephew, Jack Bishop; sisters, Mae Smith, Ruth Rosewell, Rose Lumen; brother, Jack Gentry; brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Roy & Marquita Betts; brother-in-law, Waddel Elrod; sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Velma & Cleo Peace.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 29, 2018 in the Bates Cooper Sloan Chapel with services to follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in the Woodman Cemetery in DeKalb, TX
