Betty Jane Anderson

Betty Jane Anderson, 84, died Friday, April 4, 2008, at St. Lukes Hospital, Duluth. She was born in Hawthorne, Wis., Sept. 15, 1923, the daugther of Henry and Elsie Johnson.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and belonged to its Quilting Club and Martha's Circle.
She married Orval Anderson on Feb. 15, 1941. They were married for 55 years. They wintered in Arizona and spent the summer at ther summer home on Simms Lake.
She was proceded in death by her husband, Orval Anderson in 1996, a son, Orval Anderson Jr. in 1979; her parentsm Henry and Elsie Johnson; two sisters, Lucille Jacksino and Elaine Zatko Oleas; a brother, Donald Johnson; and a great-grandson, Steven Michael Pettit.
She is survived by a daughter, Judith (Ronald) Remington; two sons, Ronald (Marlene) Anderson and Rodney (Cynde) Anderson; a sister Darlene Hudacek; grandchildren Julie Remington, Wade (Barb) Remington, Betti (Bill) Warn, Patti (Kenneth Pettit) Remington, Carolyn (Mickey Brand) Anderson, Nancy Anderson, Tom (Beth) Anderson, Melissa Anderson, Stephanie Anderson and Kimberly Anderson; four great-grandchildren, Samantha Nieman, Amanda Nieman, Nicole Martineau and Trish (Travis) Mandigo; a Brother-in-law, Pete (Betty) Anderson; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation begins after 5pm Wednesday at Lenroot-Maezold Funeral Home, 1209 East 5th st., Superior. Visitation continues at 10 am Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church, Superior, and continues until the 11 am memorial service wtih Pastor Gary Garnatz of Bethel Lutheran Church, Superior, officiating.
