SHANTZ, M. Clarene Marion Clarene Shantz was born May 17, 1937 to Willard and Ruby (Hamacher) Haas in New Dundee. Clarene passed away on Friday, October 1, 2010 after a struggle with lung cancer. She served as pastor's wife and later supervised the cafeteria at Eastwood Collegiate. Her love for the Lord and others was demonstrated by volunteering for many organizations. She was predeceased by her parents and two sons, Greg and Brent. Grieving her loss is her husband, Allan; children, Beccy Kennedy (David), Collette Warriner (Michael), and Trevor (Caralyn), 18 grand- children, and seven great- grandchildren, and her sister Elinore Moody. Clarene's family will receive relatives and friends at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Faith Evangelical Missionary Church, 3849 King St. E., Kitchener on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Bill Anderson and Rev. Ken Wideman officiating. A reception will immediately follow the service at the church. Private interment at Wilmot Centre Cemetery.
