MRS. MESH HALE DIES IN ST. LOUIS - Mrs. Emma Elizabeth Hale, beloved wife of Mesh Hale, died at her home in St. Louis Wednesday, June 26, 1935. She was in the 61st year of her age. The deceased was formerly Miss Emma Elizabeth Williams, daughter of the late Harrison Williams and Mrs. Mary Williams of the Dean district, southeast of Rolla in Phelps County in November 1896 she united in marriage with Mr. Mesh Hale of Phelps County. To this union seven children were born, all of whom with their father survive. They are Mrs. Mae Agoain, Mrs. Lottie Duncan, Miss Jessie Hale, Harrison Hale, Mrs. Elizabeth Mansbridge, Miss Katherine Hale and Ervan Hale, all of St. Louis. She is also survived by her two brothers and five sisters. They are Henry Williams, Purcell, Okla, John Williams, Mrs. M. G. Herberger of Rolla, Mrs. Chas. Schwartz, Tovey, Ill, Mrs. Herman Haas, St. Louis, Mrs. A. A. Bowlin, Los Angeles, Calif, Mrs. Harold Fue, of Lincoln, Ill. Also eight grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives survive. Mrs. Hale was a loving wife and mother. She had been a member of the Christian Church for forty years. Her remains were brought to Rolla on Saturday and were conveyed to the Adams cemetery, where funeral services were conducted by Rev. E. P. Gabriel of Rolla Christian Church and interment took place at that place. Many friends sympathize with the relatives in their bereavement.
