Edward was the fourth of eleven children born to Edward James Willman and Maggie Hambrick. On 10 Jun 1915 he married Sophia Fredericka Gutman and they had four children: Edward, Marion, Norma, and Paul. When the plumbing company founded by his father ran into difficulty, Edward took over the business and worked to once again make it a viable concern. According to his daughter Marion, he contacted all of the creditors of the company and established plans to repay the debts. Over time the business again became profitable and he owned the company until 1960 when he sold it to his sons Paul and Edward, III. In 1966 he had intestinal surgery at Jewish Hospital from which he never recovered. He was 71.

Edward was my great grandfather.
