Dea. Bush was a native of Burke County, Georgia. He was a member of the Masonic Bannaker Lodge #3 and Allen Chapel Baptist Church, where he served as Chaiman of the Deacon Board for many years, until his health failed. Survivors are three daughters, Rosa L. Allen, Augusta, Annie (Charles) Walker, Sr., Jackson, TN and Ethel Wright, Augusta; two sons, Roosevelt Bush, Jr., Augusta and Alex (Benetta) of Detroit, MI; fourteen grandchildren; a devoted granddaughter, Rev. Jacqueline (James) Jones; two sisters, Lottie Cunningham, Waynesboro and Lucinda Martin, Augusta; twenty-five grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
