An Old Fashioned Gardener.
Decidedly the finest garden in Hampton, all things considered, is that of Mrs. Betsy Pettis in the southwestern suburbs of the city. Mrs. Pettis is over 90 years old and does all the work yourself, even to spading up the ground in the spring, and she goes barefoot most of the time too. She has resided in Hampton for nearly forty years, and is now spryer and more active than most women of 50.
