The passing of Mr. Inscoe Williams Rue on Sunday night was a shock and grief to everyone who knew him. His health had been failing for some time, but he kept actively at his business up to Friday. That evening after supper he was stricken with apoplexy and remained unconscious until the end. Mr. Rue was the son of the late Archibald Beatricia Rue and Mrs. Jessimine Dunlop Anderson Rue. He was 58 years of age and was associated with his father in his photograph studio for many years, and on his death continued to conduct the business, which had been in the family for about sixty years. Mr. Rue inherited an artistic gift from his mother and this, added to his skill, made his studio work outstanding in its excellence. Personally he was very popular, with a fund of quiet humor that drew the interest and liking of all with whom he came in contact. He was a member for many years of the Christian Church, he and his family being devout in its service. Mr. Rue was also a member of the Woodmen's Lodge of this city. He served with distinction during the Spanish-American War, and was recognized by the government as an honor-medal sharp shooter. Some years ago he was married to Miss Lottie Forbes, of Louisville, who with the following children survive: Miss Loraine Rue, of Chicago; Miss Mildred Rue, student at Kentucky State Normal School; Zoe, Elsie, Edwin, Lois, Frank, Archie, Insco, Eula Lee, Aileen, Leslie and Clarence Nelson Rue. His mother, Mrs. Archibald Beatricia Rue, and two sisters, Mrs. James Page Spilman and Mrs. George Forest McMurchy, also survive. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at the residence on Greenville street, conducted by his pastor, the Rev. T. Hassell Bowen, and the burial was at Spring Hill Cemetery.
